The Draw for the Groups of the Senior and Intermediate Hurling Championships were made, with both sides pitted in difficult Groups. The Seniors are paired in a Group along with Kilmaley, Broadford, Scariff and Clarecastle. The Intermediates were drawn in a Group with Parteen, Eire Og, Corofin and Feakle. Intermediate Footballers Championship Group Announced |

The Intermediate footballers have been paired with Clondegad, Ballyvaughan and Kildysart in the Championship draw. On paper, this is a "Group of Death", with all sides capable of taking points off the opposition. This should work in our favour however, with two teams to qualify. Lets hope the team can build on last years Junior "A" Championship success and establish themselves as a strong Intermediate side. |

A Meeting to commence the organising of the Clooney-Quin GAA Club Golf Classic will be held in the GAA Clubhouse on Wednesday evening next, March 31st at 9PM. As this is a major fundraising event, with a significant amount of work attached, we ask that as many people as possible to attend to help out. The more volunteers we have, the less work there will be for each person! |

Mixed Fortunes For Hurlers |

There were mixed results for the three hurling sides in League action this past weekend. It began on Saturday with a merited win away to an understrength Inagh/Kilnamona team on a 1-20 to 0-13 scoreline. Later on Saturday evening, the Junior A side, without a significant number of panelists, went down fighting away to Ballyea on a 2-15 to 1-9 scoreline. On Sunday afternoon, the Intermediates took on visitors, Cratloe, with the South East Clare side emerging victorious on a 0-13 to 0-11 scoreline. The games are set to come thick and fast for all sides this coming weekend with all four hurling teams plus the footballers scheduled for League action. |

Clooney-Quin GAA Club, in association with The Monks Well Inn, Quin, will hold a Sponsorship Launch event on this Thursday evening, April 1st in The Monks Well, Quin. The evening will also include the Weekly Lotto draw, which has a Jackpot of €11,600 this week. All members are encouraged to attend the event, which kicks off at 9.30PM. |

The Senior hurlers faced a tricky away fixture in Round 1 of the Clare Cup as they took on Inagh/Kilnamona on Saturday afternoon, March 27th.
